Legendary rock band AC/DC is marking a significant milestone in 2025, celebrating 50 years since their formation. To commemorate this historic occasion, multiple events and tributes are planned, including a special commemorative stamp collection and a dedicated anniversary tour.
Royal Mail’s AC/DC Stamp Collection
As part of the celebration, the UK’s Royal Mail has released a set of eight commemorative stamps featuring iconic moments from AC/DC’s legendary career. These stamps showcase live performances and highlight the evolution of the band’s famous lightning bolt logo. Additionally, collectors can purchase a Prestige Stamp Book, which includes rare photos, album covers, and exclusive content from music journalist Jason Draper. This initiative pays homage to the band’s massive impact on rock history and its global fanbase.
AC/DC’s 50th Anniversary Tour
In addition to the stamp collection, original AC/DC vocalist Dave Evans has announced a special tour to honor the band’s 50-year legacy. Evans, who was part of AC/DC’s earliest lineup before Bon Scott took over as lead singer, emphasized that this tour would be a one-of-a-kind experience. He promised fans an unforgettable show featuring rare performances of AC/DC’s earliest hits, including “Can I Sit Next to You Girl” and “Baby, Please Don’t Go”.
More Surprises Expected
While AC/DC’s official lineup, including longtime members Angus Young and Brian Johnson, has yet to reveal further details about their anniversary plans, fans are hopeful for additional announcements. Whether it be a new album, special concerts, or documentary releases, 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for AC/DC supporters.
With the 50th anniversary celebrations in full swing, the band’s legacy remains as powerful as ever, proving that AC/DC is still one of the most influential rock bands of all time.
