Indiana Fever Celebrates Playoff Berth with $300,000 Bonus and Unique Gift for Coach Stephanie White..

On September 7, 2025, the Indiana Fever clinched a playoff spot with a commanding 94-65 victory over the Washington Mystics at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, marking a triumphant moment despite a season plagued by injuries. In a remarkable gesture, Fever President Kelly Krauskopf announced a $300,000 team bonus and presented head coach Stephanie White with a rare, one-of-a-kind item—a custom-engraved championship ring from the franchise’s 2012 WNBA title—to celebrate the team’s resilience and White’s strategic leadership.

The Fever, finishing the regular season at 23-20, secured at least the No. 7 seed in the WNBA playoffs, their first postseason appearance since 2016. The win came despite the absence of star rookie Caitlin Clark and key players Sophie Cunningham, Aari McDonald, Sydney Colson, and Chloe Bibby, all sidelined for the season. Natasha Howard led with 17 points, while Aliyah Boston contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds, showcasing the team’s depth.

Krauskopf praised White’s ability to navigate adversity, noting her tactical adjustments fostered unity and confidence. The bonus, split among players and staff, aims to boost morale as the Fever prepare for their playoff matchup against the No. 2 seed Connecticut Sun. White, who previously coached the Fever in 2015-2016 under Krauskopf’s leadership, called the ring a “humbling honor” and credited her team’s grit.

The Mystics, led by rookie Sonia Citron’s 17 points, fell to 16-26, missing the playoffs. Despite the loss, the game drew a sold-out crowd of 11,183, underscoring the Fever’s drawing power. This victory and Krauskopf’s gesture signal a bright future for Indiana as they head into the postseason with renewed confidence.
