Eiran Cashin offered sincere praise for Louie Sibley after the Derby County midfielder decided not to accept a new contract offer. The club confirmed Sibley’s departure yesterday, ending his 15-year tenure with the Rams, which began when he joined their under-8s squad.
Cashin, who rose through the ranks alongside Sibley and developed a close bond with him during their time at the club, shared his thoughts on Twitter, formerly known as X, saying: “What a guy. From being together and making my life hell for over 15 years, gonna miss going into the changing rooms and having to look for all my stuff. Shared some incredible moments. I know wherever you go you will smash it bud.”
Derby County also extended their best wishes to Sibley, stating: “@louie_sibbo has decided to move on as his contract expires. From Under-8s to over 150 first-team appearances, it’s been an incredible journey. We wish you all the best with whatever comes next.”
