To maintain the winning momentum, how about one more Yahtzee?
To start the Fourth of July Weekend, the Kentucky Wildcats have added another big-time (literally) offensive lineman prospect to an already exciting week on the recruiting path.
Jermiel Atkins, a 3-star offensive tackle, committed to Kentucky on Thursday. He was torn between Virginia Tech and Minnesota and the Cats. Among the other universities that extended scholarship offers to Atkins were West Virginia and Arizona State.
Atkins, a towering 6-foot-8, 290-pound prospect from Dayton, Ohio, has been a target for the Kentucky Wildcats for some time as coaches Eric Wolford and Bush Hamdan aim to bolster their offensive line, known as the Big Blue Wall. His commitment is especially welcome following some recent misses in high school recruiting, making him the second highly regarded 3-star tackle to join the Wildcats.
With Atkins on board, Vince Marrow and Mark Stoops continue to build on their success recruiting Ohio high school talent to Lexington. He joins six other Ohio recruits in Kentucky’s 2025 class, highlighting the program’s strong presence in the state.
Ranked 797th overall and 56th among offensive tackles in the 2025 class by 247 Sports Composite, Atkins is also recognized as the 31st-best prospect in Ohio.
Welcome to the BBN, Jermiel!
