UNBELIEVABLE: Huddersfield Town Urged to Part Ways with Striker Bojan Radulovic After Disappointing Run

Huddersfield Town Urged to Part Ways with Striker Bojan Radulovic After Disappointing Run

Huddersfield Town are learning that the road back to the Championship may not be as smooth as expected. After relegation from the second tier at the end of last season, the club returned to League One for the first time in over a decade, hoping to bounce straight back. Manager Michael Duff, who has earned recognition for his previous successes at Cheltenham and Barnsley, took charge with the ambition of leading the team to promotion. While Huddersfield are still in the hunt for a spot in the upper reaches of the table, their campaign so far has been a mixed bag.

The Terriers have seen a blend of highs and lows in their opening 16 matches of the season. With nine wins, two draws, and five losses, they currently sit in fifth place, which is respectable but perhaps underwhelming given the club’s expectations of an automatic promotion push. However, they have shown signs of improvement, going unbeaten in their last seven games and winning five of them, suggesting a positive upward trajectory as the season progresses. Despite this, there’s an area of concern that needs urgent attention—goalscoring.

Huddersfield have managed to score from all over the pitch, but their strikers have yet to deliver consistently. One player in particular, Bojan Radulovic, has struggled to find his form since joining the club earlier this year. The 24-year-old forward, who arrived with considerable promise after impressing in Finland’s top division, has failed to make the impact that many hoped for. After a slow start to his Huddersfield career, Radulovic has only netted once in League One this season from a combination of six starts and five substitute appearances. For a player brought in with expectations of contributing more significantly, this return is clearly underwhelming.

Radulovic’s journey at Huddersfield has been frustrating. Signed in January for a relatively high fee, he initially had a tough time adjusting, with limited starts and little game time in the second half of last season. This campaign was meant to be his opportunity to shine, but his lack of goals continues to raise doubts about his future at the club. Given that he has now played over 20 games for Huddersfield and has only contributed two goals and one assist, many fans and analysts are starting to question whether he will ever meet the standards required at this level.

Graeme Rayner, a Huddersfield Town fan and pundit for Football League World, shared his concerns about Radulovic’s future at the club. He expressed disappointment at the striker’s failure to capitalize on his opportunities, stating that despite having a decent number of appearances, Radulovic has not stepped up as expected. “It feels like he’s had enough chances,” Rayner said. “If he was the player we thought we were signing, he should have shown more by now.” His frustrations echo those of many fans, who feel it may be time for the club to cut their losses and move on.

As the January transfer window looms, the pressure is mounting on Huddersfield Town to make some tough decisions. If the club wants to strengthen their forward line, it may be best to part ways with Radulovic and invest in a more reliable striker. With other forwards at the club, such as Rhys Healey and Josh Koroma, offering mixed results, a change could help revitalise the squad. If Huddersfield are serious about securing promotion, they might need to look elsewhere for a more consistent goalscorer who can deliver when it matters most.
