Ante Crnac Aims to Help Norwich City Return to the Premier League

Ante Crnac, the talented 20-year-old forward from Croatia, is determined to play a key role in helping Norwich City secure their return to the Premier League. Having made a notable move from Polish champions Rakow for a reported initial fee of £8.5 million, Crnac remains unfazed by the expectations surrounding his price tag. Instead, he views his new opportunity as a stepping stone toward fulfilling his dream of playing in one of Europe’s top football leagues.

Reflecting on his transition to English football, Crnac acknowledges that the shift has been challenging, but he’s grateful for the support of head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup. “I have regular discussions with the coach, which is helping me adapt quickly,” he said. Although Thorup substituted Crnac at halftime during Norwich’s recent 1-0 victory over Coventry, the young striker remains positive about his future contributions to the team.

Crnac has set his sights high this season, with a clear objective of gaining promotion to the Premier League. He understands that it will require significant effort, both individually and collectively. “We’re a young squad, but we enjoy playing with the ball and have some experienced players guiding us. Our aim is to get promoted, either by winning the Championship or through the play-offs,” he shared.

In a recent interview with Croatian newspaper *Sportske Novosti*, Crnac described the overwhelming atmosphere during his debut at Carrow Road against Sheffield United, which took place just 24 hours after completing his move to Norwich. “The energy at the stadium was incredible. I’ve never experienced anything like it in Croatia or Poland,” he said, recalling how the entire crowd applauded him as he left the pitch.

Crnac isn’t worried about the financial aspect of his transfer. Instead, he’s fully focused on making a meaningful impact at Norwich City and using the experience to grow as a player. With his determination and the support of the squad, Crnac is hopeful that his Premier League dream will soon become a reality.
