La Liga powerhouse Barcelona is expected to make a winter bid for Jonathan Tah of Bayer Leverkusen this weekend.
Naturally, the name of Barcelona’s defender Tah has been in the news for a while.
This follows the Blaugrana’s late-window attempt to sign the German international being rejected by their rivals at the previously stated Bayer Leverkusen during the summer.
Although Tah’s contract at the BayArena expires in the summer of 2025, the Camp Nou leadership is still very interested.
So much so that Deco and company might yet approve a mid-season attack on the 28-year-old’s signature, according to Diario Sport.
Barca is thinking of making a January offer to entice Leverkusen into a deal in order to beat out the growing competition for Tah’s services rather than lose a valuable player in the summer for nothing.
Additionally, it is mentioned that the beginning price to begin winter negotiations would be approximately €20 million.
