Bluegrass sensation Billy Strings has unexpectedly canceled his highly anticipated May 30, 2025 concert at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The announcement came as a surprise to fans who were eagerly awaiting the performance, part of his extensive 2025 tour promoting his latest chart-topping album Highway Prayers.
According to a brief statement shared via Strings’ official website and social media platforms, the cancellation is due to “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.” While no further details were immediately provided, the message emphasized that the decision was not made lightly and expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to ticket holders.
“We’re heartbroken to share that we will not be able to perform in Grand Rapids on May 30. We know how much our Michigan fans mean to us, and we hope to return as soon as possible,” the post read.
The Grand Rapids performance was one of two consecutive shows scheduled at Van Andel Arena, with the second night originally planned for May 31. As of now, the May 31 show remains on the calendar, but fans are encouraged to monitor official updates in case further changes are announced.
Ticket holders for the May 30 show will receive automatic refunds from their point of purchase. Those who bought tickets through Ticketmaster, Live Nation, or directly from the venue should expect refunds within 7–10 business days.
