JR Motorsports is making history by entering the 2025 DAYTONA 500 with a collaboration that brings together NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr., Grammy-winning artist Chris Stapleton, and NASCAR Xfinity Series Champion Justin Allgaier. The team will field a No. 40 Chevrolet, sponsored by Traveller Whiskey, a premium brand produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery. This marks JR Motorsports’ first venture into the NASCAR Cup Series, with Allgaier driving for the team in the prestigious race known as “The Great American Race.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. shared his excitement about this momentous entry into the Daytona 500, calling it the right opportunity for JR Motorsports. He credited Justin Allgaier’s recent success as the Xfinity Series champion and the partnership with Chris Stapleton as key factors in making this historic move possible. With Allgaier behind the wheel, the No. 40 Chevrolet will carry the branding of Traveller Whiskey, which represents the perfect blend of craftsmanship and quality whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery.

Chris Stapleton expressed his pride in joining Earnhardt Jr. and the JR Motorsports team for their first NASCAR Cup Series entry. He noted that the partnership with Traveller Whiskey felt like a natural fit, given the shared passion for excellence. The whiskey itself is a blend carefully crafted under the supervision of Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, and it has garnered significant accolades since its launch in early 2024. Its flavor profile, rich in oak, caramel, and vanilla, mirrors the passion behind the race car and the team’s aspirations.

Justin Allgaier, the driver chosen for this inaugural Cup Series entry, has built a reputation as one of the most accomplished drivers in the Xfinity Series. As a multiple-time champion and fan favorite, Allgaier is no stranger to competition at the highest level. Having previously raced in the Cup Series and achieving notable finishes, he is confident that the JR Motorsports team has the resources and experience to compete for a strong finish in the Daytona 500. For Allgaier, this entry represents a significant career milestone.

This entry into the Daytona 500 also marks a pivotal moment for JR Motorsports. Since its inception, the team has dominated the NASCAR Xfinity Series, amassing 88 wins and four championships. Now, under the leadership of Earnhardt Jr. and Kelley Earnhardt Miller, the organization is ready to take on the challenge of the Cup Series with a focus on building a competitive presence. Fans can watch Allgaier and the No. 40 Traveller Whiskey Chevrolet in action as the team aims to qualify and race in the 2025 DAYTONA 500, with all eyes on the February race weekend.
