“Effective procedure”: Dante Polvara provides an update on Aberdeen’s injuries.

Dante Polvara has delivered encouraging updates to Aberdeen supporters, announcing that he has had a successful operation to repair a hamstring tear. The 24-year-old impressed during Aberdeen’s recent season, notably contributing to their Europa Conference League group stage campaign, including scoring in an away match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

There were high expectations for him to continue progressing this season, with many fans considering the possibility of Polvara becoming a future captain for Aberdeen.

Unfortunately, last Friday, Aberdeen announced the devastating news that Dante Polvara, the American midfielder, will be out of action for up to four months. According to a statement from Pittodrie, Polvara sustained a hamstring tear during training, which will force him to miss a substantial part of the 2024/25 season.

“The 24-year-old is scheduled to consult with a specialist in the next few days but is anticipated to be sidelined for 14-16 weeks. We wish Dante a quick and full recovery.”

Sharing an update from his hospital bed in London on Instagram, Polvara wrote: “Successful surgery. One day closer.” He added humorously, “I’m coming for whoever snapped my damn hamstring last week at Cormack Park.”
