Huddersfield Town forward Bojan Radulovic will be out of action for “around six weeks” due to a groin injury. Head coach Michael Duff confirmed that the striker sustained the injury during a closed-door match last Friday, and he is expected to be unavailable until at least next month.
The Serbian forward missed the club’s training camp in Austria because of an earlier injury and has now encountered another setback.
Meanwhile, Ollie Turton has recovered from an injury sustained while the team was abroad and is now available for this weekend’s match against Peterborough United.
During a press conference providing team news ahead of the season opener, Duff stated: “Ollie’s fit. He’s been training with us for the past couple of weeks, and in Austria, he got some minutes, though he was injured while we were there.
“Bojan was already injured when we headed to Austria. We decided it would be more beneficial for him to stay behind and focus on his rehab because we had three games in six days. It’s tough to rehab alone, so he was able to get some team football with the younger players.”
“Bojan will likely be out for around six weeks. He played in a bounce game last Friday, scored three goals in 28 minutes, but then pulled his groin.
“It was encouraging that he was getting some playing time, but unfortunately, it’s reflective of his current situation—we just can’t seem to keep him on the pitch. It’s disappointing for both him and us, so he definitely won’t be available for selection.”
Duff also confirmed that, apart from Radulovic and Radinio Balker—who is sidelined until at least the New Year due to a fractured ankle—there are no other injury concerns heading into Saturday’s match.
