JUST IN: West Ham United near double transfer swoop with bids already submitted.

West Ham United are nearing the double signing of Max Kilman and Kyle Walker-Peters, as reported by Knees Up Mother Brown.

On July 2, West Ham United’s official website reported that they have made a player-plus-cash offer for Southampton full-back Kyle Walker-Peters, and negotiations are ongoing for Wolves captain Max Kilman to bolster their defense.

Both players are keen on a move to London Stadium pending agreements with their current clubs, as manager Julen Lopetegui aims to strengthen the squad following his appointment after David Moyes.

West Ham United, under the guidance of Tim Steidten, have been active in the summer transfer window, securing signings like Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham, while also pursuing other targets.

The club’s priority now is shoring up the defense after the departures of Ben Johnson and Angelo Ogbonna, with uncertainty also surrounding the futures of Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd.

Kilman has emerged as a primary target for the central defense, with Lopetegui considering him for a leadership role, while Walker-Peters offers versatility at both right-back and left-back, providing valuable options for the manager.

With a busy transfer window anticipated, Steidten and Lopetegui are eager to finalize these deals swiftly to strengthen the squad effectively.
