Las Vegas Aces’ Coach Becky Hammon Downplays Home Court Advantage Ahead of WNBA Semifinal Clash..

As the Las Vegas Aces prepare for their WNBA semifinal showdown against the Indiana Fever on Wednesday, head coach Becky Hammon dismissed the notion of home court advantage playing a significant role. Speaking to reporters after practice, Hammon emphasized that playoff basketball transcends venue familiarity, especially against a formidable opponent like Indiana.

“Home court is great for the fans, but when you’re in the semifinals, it’s about execution, not location,” Hammon said. “Indiana’s got a talented roster, and we’re ready for a battle no matter where we play.” The Aces, who finished the regular season with a strong 27-13 record, face a Fever team led by Veteran Kelsey Mitchell  whose dynamic play has energized Indiana’s campaign.

Hammon’s confidence stems from her team’s playoff experience and depth, with stars like A’ja Wilson and Jackie young  driving the Aces’ championship aspirations. While Las Vegas split their regular-season matchups with Indiana, Hammon stressed preparation over intangibles. “It’s about who shows up and plays their game,” she added. Tip-off is set for 2:30 PM ET at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
