Liam Payne’s Friend Denies Abandonment Allegations as Three Arrested Over Singer’s Death

Liam Payne’s close friend, Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores, has strongly denied claims that he abandoned the singer shortly before his tragic fall, which led to his death. The controversy arose after three individuals, including Nores and two hotel workers, were arrested in connection with Payne’s death in Buenos Aires. Authorities are investigating allegations of abandonment, as well as involvement in the illegal supply of drugs, though Nores maintains that he was not responsible for the tragic incident.

Nores, a 36-year-old businessman, was reportedly with the former One Direction member shortly before his fall, and he has expressed deep sorrow over the event. In a statement, Nores clarified that he left the hotel about 40 minutes before the tragedy occurred, noting that over a dozen people were still in the hotel lobby, interacting with Payne at the time of his departure. He emphasized that he had not been involved in any criminal activity and was simply a close friend of the singer, not his manager. “I never abandoned Liam. I went to see him three times that day,” he said, adding that he had provided his statement to prosecutors as a witness, but had not been contacted by authorities since. “I’m heartbroken, and I miss my friend every day,” he concluded.

The investigation also involves two hotel employees, one of whom is a 21-year-old worker from CasaSur Hotel, and the other, a 24-year-old, is reportedly known to Payne. According to prosecutors, the younger hotel worker allegedly supplied cocaine to the singer, and the second individual is under suspicion for providing drugs on multiple occasions. These arrests have raised questions about the role drugs may have played in Payne’s final moments, particularly after toxicology reports indicated the presence of alcohol, cocaine, and prescription antidepressants in his system.

Though the exact circumstances surrounding Payne’s fall remain uncertain, Argentine investigators are closely examining security footage and witness accounts from the hotel. The three suspects have been placed under suspicion, but no formal charges have yet been filed. Local media sources suggest that the hotel employees have been granted bail, though they face strict conditions, including a travel ban and weekly court appearances. Investigators are continuing to piece together the events leading up to Payne’s death.

As the investigation progresses, Liam Payne’s family, who has been kept informed throughout the process, is now focused on preparing for a private funeral in the UK. Payne’s father, Geoff, traveled to Buenos Aires shortly after his son’s death and accompanied Liam’s body back to the UK. Additionally, Liam’s long-time girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, who had left Argentina just before the singer’s passing, remains involved in the ongoing discussions surrounding the case. As fans continue to mourn the untimely loss of the beloved star, authorities are committed to uncovering the full truth behind his death.
