Alternative rock legends Placebo have officially announced a massive 2025 world tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their critically acclaimed fourth studio album, *Sleeping with Ghosts*. The album, released in 2003, was a defining moment in the band’s career, featuring fan-favorite tracks like “The Bitter End,” “This Picture,” and “Special Needs.”
The anniversary tour, titled *Sleeping with Ghosts: 20 Years On*, will see the band perform the album in its entirety, along with a selection of hits spanning their three-decade career. The tour is set to kick off in early March 2025 in Europe before making its way across North America, South America, Asia, and Australia.
Frontman Brian Molko expressed his excitement about revisiting the album that cemented Placebo’s legacy in alternative rock. “*Sleeping with Ghosts* was a deeply personal and experimental record for us. It marked a period of growth, musically and emotionally. To be able to share these songs again with our fans in a full live setting is incredibly exciting,” Molko said in a statement.
The tour will feature a visually stunning stage production, incorporating elements from the album’s themes of love, loss, and nostalgia. Fans can expect an immersive experience, with elaborate lighting and visuals complementing the emotional weight of the music.
Pre-sale tickets for the tour will be available starting next week, with general ticket sales launching shortly after. Placebo has also hinted at the possibility of releasing a special edition of *Sleeping with Ghosts*, featuring remastered tracks and rare demos.
Fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating this milestone tour, as the band promises to deliver unforgettable performances celebrating one of their most beloved albums. Stay tuned for full tour dates and locations as they are announced.
