Leicester City and Fulham are interested in Roma’s young talent Edoardo Bove, valued at £18 million, but Everton and AFC Bournemouth are reportedly further along in their efforts to sign him.
According to HITC, Everton is nearing a £10 million deal for Aston Villa’s Tim Iroegbunam. The central midfielder is eager to join Everton after being informed by Villa’s manager, Unai Emery, that he will likely be low in the pecking order for the 2024/25 season, especially with Ross Barkley expected to return to Villa Park from Luton Town.
Everton is focusing on youth and potential this summer, evident from their interest in the 20-year-old Iroegbunam, who started only one Premier League game for Villa last season. Edoardo Bove, at 22, fits this youth-centric strategy as well.
Bove, a Roma academy graduate inspired by club legend and current head coach Daniele De Rossi, is valued at approximately £18 million. Leicester City, Brentford, and Fulham have shown interest, but Everton and Bournemouth are currently leading the race for the Italy Under-21 international.
Bournemouth might have an edge in this pursuit due to their newly-appointed President of Football Operations, Thiago Pinto, who knows Bove well from their time together in Rome.
